Frank Mottek, news anchor for KNX 1070 Radio, will emcee the awards along with the Long Beach Education Foundation’s President-Elect Mike Murray and President Jeff Fellenzer.

Former basketball coach and soon-to-be hall of famer George Raveling will be the featured speaker at the Long Beach Unified School District’s Most Inspiring Students Awards on May 20.

Sponsored by the Long Beach Education Foundation, the event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Long Beach Hilton. During the event, students from different schools will be honored for their diligence and perseverance in the face of difficult circumstances.
